Chóngqìng Xiăo Miàn is a popular style of noodle from the city of Chongqing, China! Before Xiăo Miàn became widely popular across China, it was widely consumed by the residents of Chongqing, often for breakfast.

Xiăo Miàn, which translates to "Little Noodles," is a popular street food, loved for its unique flavour: the numbing spice!

What started as a staple food of Chongqing is now a historic part of the local cuisine. Its popularity is even growing overseas in cities like Paris, New York, San Francisco, and Toronto.

Xiăo Miàn noodles are typically wheat noodles that can be accompanied by a variety of meats and vegetables. They are seasoned with various spices, garnishes and sauces, but most notably with Sichuan peppercorn, which has a unique numbing spice effect on the tip of your tongue!

Hey Noodles is a chain of casual noodle restaurants that specialize in Xiăo Miàn and originated in Chongqing, China.

In the early 2000s, a Xiăo Miàn craze spread through China like wildfire, and the chain grew to more than 200 locations!

The popularity of our food inspired us to open our first location in North America, so on May 16, 2015, we opened in Downtown Toronto's vibrant Chinatown neighbourhood. Within a few weeks, our restaurant was a hot spot among Asian millennials and local residents who wanted to try our flavourful noodles.

Since then, we have continued to grow by opening six new locations that have been as successful to the point where we get requests to open in new neighborhoods on a daily basis.

We thank all of our loyal customers and employees who continue to support us. We like to think that our brand is an ambassador of Chongqing culture in North America, and we strive to treat every customer as a valued guest who wants to learn about Chinese food and culture.
